Darin Detwiler of the recent Netflix documentary POISONED will give a pre-recorded presentation about the importance of food safety and why we, as public health professionals, do what we do. Hillary Johnson and Johanna Vostok from the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences and Nichol Smith from the Food Protection Program of MDPH will present on foodborne illness investigation, the overall flow of communication, MAVEN, and how the different parties involved work together.
