For 2026, MHOA will offer a 6-month membership (January – June) at a rate of $60 for members/supporters and $30 for retirees/students.
This shortened membership period will bridge the transition from a calendar year to a fiscal year membership model, which will begin July 1, 2026.
The Board of Directors at its October meeting voted to increase FY27 dues to $75 for members/supporters, effective July 1. Retiree and student memberships for FY27 will remain at $30. We hope this information helps inform municipal and shared service arrangement budget planning.
The dues transition is timed so membership budget line items will be used in each fiscal year, but not twice in one fiscal year (assuming members have renewed on time). Now is a great time to advocate for adequate membership dues and training line items in your municipal budget.
If you do not expect to have municipal funds available, check with your PHE shared service arrangement coordinator about alternative funding sources, and ensure you're following this language in the allowable expense document: "PHE grant funds may not be used to replace appropriated municipal funding for public health staff or services."

Thank you for your continued support of MHOA!
