MHOA Weekly Newsletter

MHOA memberships expire at the end of the calendar year, so it's time to renew! Login to your MHOA account, and click on "My Profile." On the left, you should see in red a "Renew My Membership" button. You can choose to pay by card or receive an invoice for your municipality to pay. Membership benefits include free or discounted educational seminars, NACCHO membership, job posting discounts, a voice in the Coalition for Local Public Health, the opportunity to serve on MHOA committees, early annual conference registration access and much more! For membership questions or assistance, contact membership coordinator Doug Halley at dhalley@mhoa.com

Summer intern Edima Otto is continuing her DrPH work, and is seeking respondents for a survey, Women in the Global Health Profession in Massachusetts. If you identify as a woman living, working (post-bachelors degree), or in graduate school in Massachusetts in roles such as doctors, nurses, public health experts, researchers, educators, nonprofit professionals, policy advocates, administrators, graduate students, or any other profession related to global health (this includes people who work locally in the US!), please consider helping her out with 10-15 minutes of your time. Feel free to share with others!

And don't forget to contribute your ideas for the DEP Seminars. A few submitted so far include cannabis odor and air quality, managing PFAS at the local level, and the rising cost of household hazardous waste days. Add your suggestions so our DEP colleagues can plan a fantastic program.

Finally, here are a few cold weather materials for your website or social media.
