MHOA 2024 Conference Abstract Form

The MHOA 2024 Annual Conference will be at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA from November 13th to 15th. With a larger venue, MHOA is looking to expand the number of tracks and learning sessions for our conference participants. Deadline to submit an abstract is 5pm, April 29, 2024. 

MHOA is seeking abstracts for the following conference tracks:
-  Environmental Health
-  Food Safety
-  Wastewater
-  Public Health Nursing & Epidemiology
-  Public Health Potpourri
-  Local Public Health Practice: Back to basics
-  Public Health Leadership and Management

The conference will feature concurrent sessions on Wednesday, November 13th and Thursday, November 14th from 9am to 4:30pm.  Friday’s Action Training Day will be from 9:30am to 11:30am.

Session Types:

Presentations – 50 Minutes per session

  • Maximum of 3 speakers
  • We recommend 35 minutes of presentation time and 15 minutes for Q&A
  • Double sessions totaling 100 minutes will be also considered. Maximum of 4 speakers in a double session and minimum of 20 minutes for Q&A.
Friday Action Training Day – 120 Minutes
  • Maximum of 4 speakers
  • Must have a focus on skill-building with interactive learning activities included
Speakers will receive free registration for the day they are presenting.
